About Us

Established in 1977, Star Boarding Kennels & Cattery started life as a family-run business. Born out of a passion for pet care and a dedication to making animals feel settled in with us, this ethos has continued under the new ownership of Stephanie Smith, who took over the business in 2016. As an award-winning groomer and a Crufts competitor, Stephanie has harboured a love for animals since she was a young child – it’s this same love that she brings to the day-to-day running of the kennels and cattery. 

Some of our team members have been with us for many years, including Sue, Leila, Ellie and Nat. Our entire team have been carefully selected for their interest and commitment to animals, along with their close attention to the individual needs of the pets in their care.
